My CrossFit journey began in 2010 with my training in the Fire Service. My training captain introduced one of the benchmark WODs “Linda”, and from there I was hooked. The effectiveness and growth within the program was evident. It immediately showed me how to become a fitter human being and I wanted to share that joy with others. However, becoming a fitter human was just a byproduct of what CrossFit was able to introduce me to. It showed me how to help others find their best potential and continue to strive towards the betterment of themselves and others through coaching. Showing me how to develop meaningful relationships and creating conversations that challenge myself and others to continue to grow within every aspect of our lives. Overtime I have been able to grow my knowledge and expand my experience within coaching in many different ways and have come across so many opportunities that I would never have imagined possible if it had not been for being introduced to this amazing training modality. I have had the opportunity to help open a gym, help grow another and even learn from world class weightlifting coaches and CrossFit coaches to some of the best athletes within our community. And in the end gaining the opportunity to help coach so many amazing people towards whatever goal they hope to achieve. Being part of the amazing team at Troy CrossFit has given me the platform to help share the message of making health and fitness accessible to all.
