I spent a lot of my life dedicated to fitness and different methodologies but it wasn’t until my husband dragged me into the gym to try out a few CrossFit workouts that I began to recognize that this methodology was the perfect one for me. I began CrossFit in 2013 but I was one of those people that questioned my commitment to it on a daily basis. I didn’t understand why I kept coming back for more if I seemed to really dislike pushing myself past the uncomfortable. I quickly realized that thanks to our box’s members and culture within it- I was the happiest I had ever been. I found an environment surrounded by encouraging people and positive energy, a place where I could challenge myself to be mentally and physically competitive to whichever point I desired and a fantastic place to bond with my husband (then boyfriend). When we moved to San Diego I knew I wanted to do my part in growing awareness about CrossFit so I found a way to pitch implementing a CrossFit program at the K-12 school I worked at. After 2 years of seeing our athletes grow in their fitness journey and doing things they never imagined possible- I knew this is what I wanted to do for a living. Helping others see life from a different perspective is something that gets me excited and encouraged!
